I recently posted on my Facebook page that I've accepted a new job at Scheels Sports Goods. They are opening a new location here in Tulsa, OK, and I will be their Social Media Lead. I am very excited about this new opportunity in an area where I have worked for the last 14 years. Following my announcement, a few people reached out to ask if I was still going to work with Clash Discs.
The short answer is yes.
The long answer is that I am still committed to building my online store and distribution network for Clash Discs while working a full-time job at Scheels. I will be fulfilling orders in the evenings and on weekends, which will help to ensure there are no delays in getting your discs out to the post office.
Previously, I had been paid to manage social media for some disc golf companies, including Clash Discs. However, a couple of these companies had to pull back on their budgets, which I totally understand. At that time, I decided to fully invest in Clash Discs with my online store and distribution efforts.
At the end of 2023, I took a hard look at the financials and realized that, although the business is growing, it was not enough to sustain me as my only source of income. This led me to start looking for jobs that I could balance while still working on my Clash Discs business. That's when I came across the opportunity at Tulsa Scheels for the Social Media Lead position.
